Vendors sell it hot from baskets at bus terminals and roadside stops all along Misiones' highways — it's often the only food available at rural crossings for miles.
A small, chewy roll made from cassava starch and cheese, baked until the crust cracks and the inside stays gummy and rich. Sold warm from baskets by roadside and terminal vendors across Misiones province.
Why it's made this way: Chipá comes from Guaraní culinary tradition shared across Misiones and neighboring Paraguay, a border-region food identity distinct from the rest of Argentina.
