The classic Belgrade breakfast order isn't really a sentence — it's just two words: 'burek, jogurt.'
Serbian burek is a coiled pastry of thin dough layered with minced meat, cheese, or potato, baked in a round pan and cut into wedges. It's sold at bakeries from early morning, wrapped in paper and eaten with a small cup of drinking yogurt to cut the richness.
