Murphy's Irish Stout

It's brewed at Cork's Lady's Well Brewery, whose site takes its name from a well believed to have healing properties — giving one of Ireland's most famous stouts a distinctly local legend behind it.
Murphy's is a smooth, slightly sweeter Irish dry stout with a creamy head, brewed in Cork since 1856. It's traditionally poured with the same long, patient two-part pour as its more famous Dublin rival.
Why it's made this way: Cork's rebel-city brewing rivalry between Murphy's and Beamish made stout central to Munster's identity, distinct from Dublin's own stout tradition further east.
