This is Poland's best-selling beer, and it's been brewed continuously in the same Silesian town since 1629 — under a princely German dynasty for most of that history.

Tyskie lager comes from the Tychy brewery in Śląskie (Silesia), one of the oldest continuously operating breweries in the world. The brewery complex is now a protected industrial heritage site with its own beer museum.

Why it's made this way: Silesia's centuries-old brewing culture, shaped by its industrial and noble German-Polish history, still centers on this one Tychy brewery.
